A "Magical" Day Out

I sell a lot of jewellery in person and from event stalls. I'm a regular at Rockaway Park and occasionally visit other events too.

My friend (who doesn't drive) asked me to help her out at the Magikal Women's Conference event in Birmingham last weekend. Although I used to live near Birmingham many years ago, it's been literally decades since I last visited and oh my, has it changed! However, I found the hotel, I found the venue and I found some parking. Thank goodness for sat nav!

Despite its rather inconvenient location, the Birmingham and Midland Institute is an amazing Grade 2 listed building just outside Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. I would have loved to have had time to explore the Jewellery Quarter but that will have to wait for another day.

Mad panic to set up. Jewellery displays take surprisingly long to set out and I usually like to have at least an hour but they were already letting people in.

I'd made a few things especially for the event and I was very pleased to see most of them sold. I'm now out of some lines completely so I'm going to have a busy few weeks ahead of me.
